“Disarmament Education: Past Best Practice for the Future”
Education is a tremendous force for peace which is all too often underplayed. It is of critical importance, now more than ever, in light of the increasing tensions in Eurasia, South East Asia and the Middle East, for practitioners as well as students to get acquainted with and constructively discuss the relevance and applicability of past disarmament measures for today’s security challenges.
This panel discussion aims at raising awareness of past best practice which contributed to reducing, controlling, and destroying weapons of all kinds in order to diffuse tensions among states and reduce the threats from WMD and conventional weaponry.
